Williamsburg Maps
Williamsburg is just 150 miles south of Washington, D.C., 390 miles south of New York, 200 miles north of Raleigh, NC, 45 miles west of Norfolk, VA and 50 miles east of Richmond, VA. By Air, visitors can fly into the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport , just 20 minutes from downtown Williamsburg. Richmond International Airport and Norfolk International Airport are both 50 minutes away. Ground transportation is available for all flights. By Rail, AMTRAK provides direct service from Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. By Bus, nationwide service by Greyhound and Carolina Trailways serves Richmond and Norfolk with connections to Williamsburg. Local Public Transit is provided by the James City County Transit Company. The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation operates busses throughout the Historic Area.The Williamsburg Area Visitor's Shuttle is available Memorial Day through Labor Day, seven days a week from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm with pick-ups every half-hour. The $1.00 fare for adults and children over 6 (children under 6 ride free) is good for an entire day's worth of transportation. The Shuttle route encompasses points west of Williamsburg, including the Pottery Factory and outlet malls, the Historic Area of Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens Williamsburg and most area hotels and motels.
