Bette & Court didn’t get to be one of the kingpins in the women’s s golf apparel industry by resting on their laurels. They pride themselves on making fresh, sporty and easy-to-wear women’s clothing that is affordable to the average woman and the launch of their Fall 2015 collection reflects this.
Their new styles read more like a drink menu with names like Sangria, Margarita and Mandarin Twist, but the Fall 2015 collection delivers apparel that combines athletic lines and sporty details with exotic prints and rich, bold colors. We were fortunate enough to receive a couple of samples from the new collection. Here are our thoughts:
Ladies, if you’re looking for a great looking pair of shorts that offer the utmost in comfort and mobility, then the Bette & Court Smooth Fit High Side Shorts will put an end to your search. They’ll provide you with a sleek look and they’ll let you bend, crouch and swing with unrestricted movement. The smooth fit eliminates any bulk and the high sides offer a flattering fit. They feature a button closure and zipper fly, with two deep front pockets and a back pocket, large enough to fit most scorecards. The 20” inseam reaches just below the knee, providing excellent coverage. The Smooth Fit High Side Shorts are available in black with a thin white pinstripe and in sizes 2-18. Retail price is $76.
The Cool Elements Saturn Mock Golf Polo is an incredible shirt that can actually lower your skin’s temperature by 3-5 degrees because of the Cool Elements nylon/Spandex fabric. The mesh in the sleeves provides the Cool Elements Mock Golf Polo with 2-way air circulation and provides excellent moisture wicking allowing it to dry faster. With a UPF 50+, you’ll stay protected from the sun and the anti-bacterial properties will keep you smelling fresher longer too. The Saturn Mock Golf Polo has a patterned front and back yoke, long sleeves and a stand collar with zipper placket. The Saturn Mock Polo is available in sizes XS-XL and in two patterns: Dot Wave Cornflower and Scatter. Retail price is $80.
There are several other features of the Fall 2015 collection that will endear the brand to female golfers of all ages. First off, all of their garments seem to adapt to the weather. On warm autumn days, they are quite breathable while at the same time, they are warm enough for the cooler days. Their technical fabrics do not pinch or bind during the golf swing and each piece returns to its shape after multiple washes. One other thing – a UPF 30+ on most garments.
Bette & Court has always been known to provide well-fitting and shape flattering garments for women and is the perfect fit (pun intended) for ladies who want to remain fashionable while pursuing a wide range of activities. Unlike many of their competitors, Bette & Court appeals to a wide variety – and age group – of lady golfers. It’s not uncommon for me to see ladies in their 30s – 70s at our club clad in Bette & Court apparel on any given day.
