Bollé Eyewear – Golf Eyewear That’s Both Stylish and Practical

2220

For those that are unfamiliar with the name, Bollé is an eyewear company that makes both sport-specific and general recreation sunglasses. They also produce top-quality safety eyewear as well as products for sport hunters, shooting enthusiasts, welders, the military, homeland security and law enforcement agencies.

One of the sports that Bollé is gaining ground in is golf and earlier this year they unveiled some new golf eyewear. Bollé has engineered a lens specifically for golf. The Modulator V3 lenses offer superior clarity, extreme impact resistance and are extremely lightweight, so light in fact that you may forget you have them on. Bollé’s Modulator V3 Golf sunglasses are fitted with B-Clear lenses, which are made with Trivex®, an advanced material that is far superior to polycarbonate. Modulator (photochromic) technology allows the lenses to transition to ensure the proper amount of light transmitted in any environment, from direct sunlight to shaded areas. In addition, an exterior hydrophobic/oleophobic coating and interior anti-fog treatment combine to manage moisture.

The frames of Bollé’s new Modulator V3 sunglasses are made of lightweight and extremely flexible B88 nylon which provides all-day comfort. The Thermogrip® temple tips and nose pads keep the sunglasses firmly in place throughout the golf swing.

This year’s collection of sunglasses is the largest Bollé has ever brought to market. With a broader selection of styles, Bollé is keeping pace with one of the most important trends in golf apparel: colored frames! The Bolt model is available in Neon Yellow and the Tempest in Satin Pink. There is also the Bolt S in Shiny Red and the Ransom in Shiny White. And, with Lee Westwood serving as the company’s new Brand Ambassador, the future is so bright, they’ll need to wear shades!

Let’s take a closer look at several models:

Bolt – These sunglasses were specifically designed for cycling but quickly gained a reputation within the golf industry as a very suitable style. Interchangeable lenses make them suitable for all types of weather and the Thermogrip temple arms and nose pads keep them firmly planted on your face. They are super light and the half-circle frames provide a broad field of vision. Frames are available in several colors and combinations including Black, White and Neon Yellow. Retail Price: $169.99.

Bolt S – Same as the Bolt, only designed with smaller faces in mind, offering more comfort. Frame colors include black, white, pink and shiny red. Retail Price: $169.99.

Kicker – Sunglasses don’t come much lighter than Bollé’s Kicker. The rimless frame won’t gather sweat and the shape of the lenses provide excellent protection from the sun’s harmful rays. They offer a head-hugging fit and won’t be jarred loose on your golf swing. Frames are available in Shiny and Black. Retail price is $139.99.

Bounty – These shades offer crystal clear vision in a very comfortable, lightweight frame. bClear lens technology delivers optical superiority and repels dirt, smudges, debris, moisture. The Thermogrip nose pads and temple tips keep frames secure and in-place whether you’re swinging the driver or hovered over a putt. The Bounty frames are available in Shiny Black and with a variety of lenses. Retail Price is $139.99.

These new shades have been available in retail since Spring 2015 and are priced between $99.99 and $199.99 with golf-appropriate lenses. Bolle´ also works with Folds of Honor, an organization that provides educational assistance to the families of military members who have been killed or disabled in service to our country. Bollé is offering several of its Modulator V3 Golf models in a Folds of Honor Limited Edition version, and for each pair sold, Bollé makes a donation to the Folds of Honor Foundation. As a leader in sport-specific lens technologies, Bollé also has sunglasses for bicyclists, a marine line for anglers and other water sport enthusiasts and the CompetiVision series for tennis players.
