ClearBall Putter – See the Way to Lower Your Score

clear-ballInnovations Golf Inc. (www.innovationsgolf.com) is a Vancouver-based company dedicated to the design and manufacturing of golf equipment. I believe they have hit a home run with their latest putter, The ClearBall Putter.

The ClearBall Putter is a USGA-conforming mallet putter specially designed to make alignment easier. It can be used during practice or regular rounds on the course and will help golfers of all skill levels, offering instant feedback set up fundamentals. From what I’ve experienced, their claims of improving putting accuracy 20 – 50% can easily be substantiated.

Here’s how it works. First off, the putter features three alignment lines on the head that are used to line the ball up. These lines are black and easy to see on the white, glossy putter head. The 2 outer lines are exactly the same diameter of a golf ball; the middle black line helps to show you where you are aimed. This middle line continues through to a clear circular hole towards the back of the putter head. This clear hole has a black line on the top and a white line on the bottom. The purpose for this is quite simple; when you are standing over your putt correctly, the white line disappears.

There are many benefits to the ClearBall Putter. First of all, it helps you develop a consistent putting stance. Secondly, it eliminates digging the heel of the putter into the ground, a result of standing too far away from the ball. Thirdly, proper alignment minimizes pulling or pushing a putt which leads to less putts and, isn’t that what we all want?

When I first received the putter, I spent a couple of hours testing it out at our local country club; Gateway Country Club (www.gatewaygolf.com). I immediately saw positive results. I never realized how poor my putting stance was. I was standing too far away and my head was nowhere close to being over the ball. Once I put the Clearball Putter to use, I found that my putts were not only going where I aimed them, they were rolling a lot truer as well. It doesn’t hurt that it’s a good looking club as well! The ClearBall Putter has replaced the Odyssey Two-Ball Putter in my bag.

To purchase your ClearBall Putter or to read what other golfers are saying, you can visit their website at www.innovationsgolf.com. The ClearBall Putter is available in both standard and belly lengths and retails for around $140. It’s a great investment in lowering your score.
