Cleveland Cavity Back Wedges – Cavity Back Wedges That Make a Difference

2320

It’s a fact that the average golfer doesn’t break 100. They also tend to miss more greens thereby relying on a good short game. This means that their wedges are very important clubs.

Now take a look at the average mix of wedges Joe Golfer carries in his bag. It’s most likely a pitching wedge that came with the set, maybe an attack/gap wedge that may or may not have come with the set and a sand wedge (56° or so). While his golf clubs may be game or super game improvement irons, odds are his wedges are not. Now I ask you, does this make sense.

The designers at Cleveland Golf have already answered this question with a resounding” NO!” That lead to the development and introduction of the CBX wedge, a cavity-backed club that offered a lot of forgiveness. This year, Cleveland has introduced the CBX 2 wedge and a brand new CBX Full-Face wedge.

With the CBX 2 wedge, Joe Golfer doesn’t need to be concerned with things like bounce. This new wedge offers unsurpassed forgiveness thanks to an all-new Hollow Cavity design that places a hollow chamber near the hosel and a heavy weight in the toe to maximize perimeter weighting.  The Dynamic Sole offers all-around versatility on just about any type of turf and is available in 3 different sole grinds, while the 4th generation Rotex face provides the companies sharpest Zip Grooves with their most aggressive face milling, producing maximum spin and short game control. A Gelback TPU insert reduces the club’s vibration and helps to deliver a pure feel at impact. The CBX 2 Wedge is available in lofts of 46, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 degrees with either a steel or graphite shaft and a Lamkin 360 grip.

Cleveland’s new CBX Full-Face wedge features a high toe profile and low-C-Shaped sole, which invokes confidence to open up the face wide and slide the club under the ball. The half-cavity design places a cavity near the heel and a solid muscle back on the toe. The sweet spot has been moved to where most players are likely to hit the ball which improves feel and forgiveness. The high toe profile The wide C-shaped sole offers Cleveland’s lowest Cleveland CBX grind to date and overall look of the club will eliminate any doubt in your ability to hit a flop shot and make it easy for you to show off your greenside finesse. As the name indicates, you’ll find Rotex, laser milled Tour Zip grooves across every millimeter of the clubface. The new CBX Full-Face wedges are available in 56, 58, 60 and 64-degree lofts, with either a Dynamic Gold 115 steel wedge shaft or a Rotex Precision Graphite wedge shaft

These new Cleveland wedges will help you get the most – or least – out of your short game. If you’re a golfer playing cavity-backed irons, these wedges need to be in your bag! You can see the entire lineup of Cleveland wedges, putters and other golf gear on their website, www.clevelandgolf.com.
