In what could be described as a “mini movement” Tour pros and better players with tee ball distance to burn are putting a mini driver in their bags since the smaller head is easier to control for better accuracy and workability plus the added loft means it can used from the fairway.
Cobra’s King TEC Mini fits that category well with a titanium body and face and a multilayer carbon fiber crown that locates more weight towards the sole. This helps launch conditions as well as forgiveness in a head that is only about two-thirds of a standard sized driver.
Even longer hitters may find that from the fairway this mini driver can also bring more par-5s into second shot range.
