Fourteen Golf is a company most golfers are probably not familiar with. Actually, Fourteen Golf is a leader in wedge design with 46 professional tour victories since 2010. As a matter of fact, I was not familiar with them until I was introduced to COO Marcy Kamoda. After speaking with him for a while, I was convinced I had to at least give their new RM-11 wedges a thorough evaluation.
It’s not always easy to succeed as a small golf equipment company; however producing a high quality product will increase your chances. Being endorsed and used by a few PGA touring professionals such as Ryuji Imada, Arjun Atwal and Chad Collins can’t hurt either.
Fourteen Golf’s new RM-11 Wedges continue the company’s tradition of great scoring clubs and introduces some new innovations that aim to reach more amateur golfers and pros alike. The RM-11 line of wedges was recently honored with six 2012 Golfing Magazine Player’s Awards including ” “Best Performance,” “Best Feel”, “Best Forgiveness,” “Best Consistency,” and “Best Overall” awards.
According to Kamoda, the “Best Appearance honor was a result of Fourteen Golf’s engineers and design team creating the most stunning line of golf equipment on the market. All of Fourteen Golf’s RM-11 Wedges are classically designed pieces of golf equipment. So much so that the testers applauded its looks with a perfect score – five stars for “Appearance. “Additionally, Fourteen Golf was the ONLY wedge to receive the 2012 Player’s Award for “Best Feel.” The Golfing Magazine panel was so impressed with the soft feel of the high performance wedge; they honored it with a solo title and five perfect stars.
