Golf Buddy Ladies GPS Watch Finally, a GPS watch for the ladies!

GolfBuddy has always been at the forefront of GPS technology and now they have shown their sensitivity to a women’s needs. Ever since I can remember, GPS watches have had a masculine look to them. And, let’s face it, guys are a lot easier to appease than women. The first generation of GPS watches was big and bulky, something only a guy would wear. Over the last year or so, they have slimmed down considerably; I’ve even seen a couple that I would consider wearing as an everyday timepiece. But women have different needs and desires; they won’t stick something ugly on their wrist. After all, what would their friends think?

GolfBuddy has the answer. Introducing the LD2 GPS Watch, the first GPS watch made exclusively for women. It’s elegant, lightweight and chic, all at the same time. With its rich alligator grain leather watch band and light sapphire Swarovski crystal embellishments, the LD2 will have your playing partners taking notice. It features a stainless steel crown button and bezel, premium mineral crystal lens and is waterproof up to 10 meters, in case you fall into the lake trying to retrieve that ladies Pro V1. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides 6 hours in GPS modes or 9-weeks in standard watch mode.

Not only is this GPS watch stylish and vogue, it’s full featured and easy to use. In time mode, it displays day, date and time and is easy to read. Setting the unit up as a GPS is a breeze, although I highly recommend downloading and printing out the 18 page users guide from the GolfBuddy website. It’s USGA and R&A compliant and legit for handicap and tournament play. Moving from screen to screen is easy with the three buttons on the left.

Once you’ve fully charged the device, head to the first tee at your local club and turn the device on. Select Golf Mode by pressing the middle button twice and it will automatically find the course you’re at and the hole you’re playing. The screen will display the distance to the front, middle and back of the green. Check the pin placement sheet and you’ll have a better idea of your exact distance. The LD2 automatically advances as you move from hole to hole.

One of the most useful features of this watch is the Hazard mode. While on the FCB screen (Front/Center/Back), pressing the middle button will tell you distances to hazards on your hole. Use the top button to find distances to hazards that are ahead of you or the lower button for the previous hazard. The screen will give you two distances; the number at the bottom is the yardage to where the trouble starts and the number at the top is the distance to the end of the hazard (i.e. how far you need to carry the ball). You can also measure shot distances – for two players. The Dual Shot Distance Measurement feature allows you to track any two shots separately. And, there’s an odometer feature which tells how far you traveled during your round.

Women who are considering a new GPS unit or are just looking to upgrade the one they have, need to look at the new LD2 from GolfBuddy. It’s something they can wear proudly both on and off the course. Off the course, the Swarovski crystals add a nice little bling to any event. For more information, visit their website at www.golfbuddyglobal.com. Go ahead ladies, spice it up a little!
