J. Lindeberg4J. Lindeberg believes that great sportswear merges function and fashion, and, if the truth be known, they do it well. J. Lindeberg was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1996 with the vision of building an international brand for modern yet aware consumers. Today, there are more than 95 J. Lindeberg stores and “shops-in-shops” around the world and can be found in such cities as Copenhagen, Oslo, Munich, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Seoul. This accounts for the J. Lindeberg brand being sold in over 1,550 stores worldwide including top-name, high-end department and specialty stores. In all, J. Lindeberg products are sold in 37 countries.

2nd photo shoot 277 (2)This season, J. Lindeberg has given their performance garments a fresh color update to crisp white, plum and navy colors. They have also added soft knits to counter spring’s fickle temperatures. The Spring 2015 collections consist of menswear and womenswear that offer fashion, tailoring, golf and skiwear. The J. Lindeberg sportswear collection has been worn by some big name PGA players including golfers Jesper Parnevik, Camilo Villegas and Victor Dubuisson. Brad Pitt wore black tie, white shirt, shoes and cuff links made by J. Lindeberg to the 63rd Golden Globe Awards in 2006. David Lingmerth, who recently won Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament, was sporting their polo.

The Golfin Guy was fortunate enough to receive some pieces from both the men’s and women’s collections. Here are just a few of our favorites:

Women’s

The sleeveless Cornelia dress possesses a number of highly technical attributes. First is the moisture management technology which transfers sweat away from the body thus hastening the evaporation process. It also has a layer of anti-odor coating along with a UV rating of 50+ to protect against the sun’s harmful rays. The Cornelia offers an architectural cut accentuating that feminine shape. It’s available in sizes XS – L and in two colors: black and navy purple. Retail: $115.

The Jaiden jacket is available in sizes S – XXL and in several colors: black, blue, white, red intense and green.

Last Word: J. Lindeberg makes some sharp looking golf apparel. Their color palette is vast and their styles are crisp and clean. The polos seemed to have a more tailored (European) fit to them and the shorter sleeves are a nice touch. The shorts and pants fit true to size and have ample room in the legs. They don’t bunch or ride up the leg when sitting down. I also think the logo is quite catchy and have become a big fan of the brand.
