Kinona Golf Wear for Women Review

Ladies Never Had It So Good!

4007

After being away from golf for a little over a year, I finally convinced my wife to get back into the game. She agreed, but with one stipulation – a few new golf outfits. While I could have definitely saved money all the way around, the truth is I do enjoy her company, so I reluctantly agreed.

In her due diligence to find something that would not only make her look good – which to me she does naturally – her new clothing had to be stylish and functional. She came across a women’s clothing line called Kinona, which seemed to have everything that met her criteria. Kinona was founded by two women, Dianne Jefferies Celuch and Tami Fujii, whose mission in life seems to be to save women from the unflattering styles currently available from many big-name golf apparel companies. They feel that no matter a woman’s size or shape, she deserves to feel great doing what she loves most.

In Hawaiian, Kinona – pronounced Key-No-Nah – means shape. Simply put, Kinona makes flattering women’s golf clothes. Not only will you look and feel better, you’ll play better too. The waistband in Kinona garments is designed to smooth out that Muffin top and the light compression helps shape your waits without leaving you breathless – literally. With Kinona’s performance fabric and UPF 50 sun protection, you’ll play better because you have less to worry about. Kinona’s modern designs and fabric transition seamlessly form the 18th green to everyday life.

Let me just tell you about a couple of the pieces she picked out. If I could use only one word to describe the design of the Make Waves Golf Skort, it would be fun. The lines and color combinations are eye-catching. The wider waistband is designed to smooth out your middle and the slightly higher back waist and built-in shorties assure that you won’t show more than you bargained for when you bend over to pick up that birdie putt. The perforated moisture managing fabric keeps the air circulating and the anti-microbial finish keeps you smelling light and fresh. The front pockets are deep enough for all of your golf essentials and the rear slit pocket is a great place to keep your ball marker. There are even special loops for your tees. The Make Waves Golf Skort is available for ladies in sizes XS – XL and in either Deep Turquoise or White and retails for $119.

A good-looking top that goes with the Make Wave Skort is the Dressed to Win Golf Top, This top is designed to bring style and comfort on the golf course. It has a classic golf polo look in the front with an A-line back, which lets you get through your golf swing with no pinching or binding. The zippered placket allows you to wear the collar like a traditional golf polo or zip it up for a stand-up collar. The UPF 50+ finish on the fabric keeps the sun’s harmful rays at bay. The Dressed to Win Golf Top is available in sizes XS – XL and in either Deep Turquoise or Navy. Retail price is $99.

As you can see, by pairing these two pieces together, my wife was able to put together a great looking outfit at a very reasonable price. For more information on Kinona or to see the other pieces available in their current collection, visit the website at www.kinonasport.com.
