Loudmouth Golf, the apparel company that John Daly has been clothed in since 2009, will be sponsoring its first professional tournament, the Insperity Invitational presented by United Healthcare, at The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course in The Woodlands, Texas on May 2-8, 2016. At the event two-time major winner John Daly will make his debut on the PGA’s Champions Tour.
At the event, Daly will be sporting a few new Loudmouth prints including Atom Smasher, part of the company’s new Spring 2016 collection. Loudmouth apparel will also be available for purchase at the Insperity Fan Experience during the event.
In case you’re not familiar with
the brand, Loudmouth is a sportswear company based in Sonoma County, California and is known for its outrageous prints. The company was established by Scott “Woody” Woodworth, a graphic designer by trade, who created his first design using Warner Brothers cartoon characters. The design was made by a local seamstress and although it was originally intended as a children’s fabric, it quickly caught the eye of various sports personalities who soon began ordering the pants. In 2007 Woodworth began creating his own fabric designs and Loudmouth was on its way to becoming what it is today.
Many celebrities have been seen sporting Loudmouth apparel. Names like Alice Cooper, Bill Murray, Will Ferrell, Penny Marshall and Dennis Rodman should not come as a surprise. Loudmouth’s garments have also made TV appearances on such shows as HBO’s Dexter, Disney’s Austin & Ally, Saturday Night Live, One Tree Hill and The Tonight Show – back when Jay Leno was the host.
Loudmouth’s 2016 Spring collection features several new prints for both men and women. With names such as Flagadelic, Fishbones, Party Mix and Tag, it has to pique one’s interest. Another print that I was fortunate enough to receive is called Bora Bora. It’s a floral design, very similar to a Bird of Paradise. The most prominent color is bright green, with orange, yellow, black and a little bit of blue thrown in. The fabric is a blend of cotton and spandex, making it both breathable and comfortable. It will move with you throughout the golf swing with no pinching or binding.
Like the other Loud
mouth designs, the Bora Bora shorts feature a belt loop waist, a tabbed front closure with zip fly and four pockets – two in front and two back pockets. The front pockets are deep and will keep your valuables safe and secure while the back pockets are large enough for the biggest of scorecards. The LM logo is embroidered above the back left pocket.
Most Loudmouth prints are available for both men and women and can be purchased as shorts, skorts or pants. The fit is true to size; not too tight and not too loose. They’re easy to care for too; just machine wash in cold water to preserve the brightness of the colors and hang to dry.
