Nike Golf Apparel – Setting New Standards in Golf Fashion

2200

NIKE 2016-3Nike was conspicuously absent from the PGA Show this year – no golf apparel, footwear or golf clubs. The only Swoosh I saw during the entire show was on a leather belt that one specialty vendor had. Many though that their run in the golf business may be coming to an end, but with their recent signings of Tour Players Brooks Koepka and Tony Finau, that didn’t seem to make any sense.

Nor did it make sense when they released a completely new collection of golf apparel for Spring 2016. When you see what this collection has to offer, you will notice that Nike is getting away from traditional designs and stepping into unchartered territory. Their new roll collar, which is popular on many new men’s polo, offers a new look that should appeal to the younger crowd as will snaps on the placket instead of buttons. We saw several new pieces from the Spring Collection that impressed us.

Nike’s new Ace Melt Away NIKE 2016-1Racerback Women’s Golf Top is designed with comfort in mind. It’s made from Nike’s Dri-FIT (90% polyester/10% spandex) moisture-wicking fabric that helps keep you dry and comfortable. This garment is super-stretchy and the racerback profile provides added mobility. The mesh back panel adds breathability to keep you cool and the rolled shoulder seams lets the ladies move seamlessly through their golf swing. The Nike Ace Melt Away Racerback Golf Polo is both cute and comfortable. It’s available in sizes XS-XXL and in several colors including Yellow, Red, Green, White, Orange and Gray. Retail price is $85.

The Nike Innovation Links Women’s Golf Skort also features Nike Dri-FIT fabric, which is designed to keep you dry and comfortable throughout the round. Nike has added perforations to the moisture-wicking fabric at the back hem for extra comfort and added airflow. This keeps you cool and dry on the course and the elastic waistband creates a snug, comfortable and confident fit. The Innovations Links Skort also comes with a separate pair of compression shorts which provides support and comfortable coverage during your round. A drop-tail hem enhances coverage. This skort also features side slash pockets and a back wNIKE 2016-4elt pocket that is big enough to accommodate most scorecards. The trademark Nike Swoosh can be found at the left bottom hem. Nike’s Innovations Links Skort is available in sizes XS-XXL and in several color combinations including Crimson/Silver, Purple/Silver, Royal Blue/Silver, Black/Silver and White/Silver. Retail price is $95.

Nike is changing the game when it comes to men’s fashion and the new MM Fly Roll Men’s Slim Fit Golf Polo is leading the way. This polo is crafted from Nike’s Dri-FIT fabric. This particular blend of Dri-FIT (53% cotton/43% polyester/4% spandex) offers an ergonomic design that keeps you dry and cool NIKE 2016-2while the Spandex allows you to move freely through every phase of your golf swing. Out is the traditional point collar and buttons; in is a new roll collar and snap placket, which adds a more refined look and can be worn straight from the course to the clubhouse. The slim fit design may not be for everyone but those who prefer it will definitely be impressed. The Fly Roll Men’s Slim Fit Golf Polo is available in sizes S-XXL and in several solid and striped styles. Retail price is $90.

Nike’s new Modern Tech Woven Men’s Golf Pants are designed to keep moisture off your body and get through the entire golf swing with no pinching or binding thanks to the ergonomic seams. The snap closure and zip fly at the waist add to a comfortable fit and the side and back pockets are deep enough to keep your favorite ball marker safe and secure. These solid color pants look great with any of the Fly Roll Golf Polos and are available in waist sizes from 28-32” and inseam lengths of 30-36”. Eight colors are available including a bright red and vivid blue. Retail price is $110.
