WYNTK
Callaway worked hard to create the new Paradym iron models, telling me they targeted producing both “the best of ball speed and feel” and made use of what they are calling “Paradym Shift Construction.” This isn’t just hype and starts with their AI software which was used to design a very strong forged face that the company says provides added ball speed as well as higher launch with more consistency shot to shot.

The iron’s hollow head is filled with small urethane balls and includes the sophisticated frame design designed with added stiffness to facilitate energy transfer to the face and thus the ball. The urethane spheres help with the iron’s feel and sound.

Tungsten weights are used inside and outside for balance and better launch characteristics while helping to retain ball speed when impact not in the face’s exact center.

Scott Manwaring (Sr. R&D Director – Irons and Hybrids) said in the announcement; “There is a noticeable tick up in ball speed. We’re super pleased about that, but the main thing is we’re getting better and better with the 455 Face Cup with our A.I. The amount of effort we’re putting into A.I. in irons is a lot more work, because we have to do it for the wedges, we have to do it for the long irons, we have to do it for the mid irons. But we’re seeing the results, where shots high on the face, on the spin consistency is just phenomenal.”
