Cleveland Golf has introduced some new tools that can help lower your scores once you reach the scoring zone (100 yards from the green and in). Their new RTX 4 wedges, Huntington Beach SOFT putters and Srixon’s new Z-STAR golf balls can give you an edge and provide you the performance you’ve come to expect from a company that excels from this distance!

RTX 4 Wedges

Cleveland’s New RTX 4 wedges have a couple of company firsts. First of all, they are the most tour-authentic wedge the company has ever made. The progressive shaping of the new RTX 4 wedge is a direct result of tour player feedback. The compact shape of the lower lofted wedges blend in with your irons for an easier transition, while the higher lofts feature a traditional wedge shape for better greenside shots.

Secondly, they feature the sharpest Tour Zip Grooves the company has ever made. After all, serious wedge players will tell you it’s all about spin. The 4th generation Rotex Face Technology employs more precise laser milling and generates more spin – more consistent spin – adding tremendously to your short game control.

Perhaps the biggest enhancement to the RTX 4 wedge is Cleveland’ Progressive Feel Balance Technology. The new muscle shaping on the back of each loft which progressively adjusts the center of gravity on both the vertical and horizontal axes, creating enhanced feel and distance control, even if your ball striking is less than perfect.

The ••MID sole design features a V-Shaped sole for smooth full shots and crisp pitch shots around the green. It’s the perfect grind for golfers who have a neutral or steep angle of attack. ••MID is available in 46° – 60° lofts. With versatile heel, toe and trailing edge relief, the •LOW sole makes it easy to open the face and execute more advanced shots around the green. It’s made for neutral and shallow angles of attack and is available in 56° – 64° lofts. The FULL sole’s traditional shape adds bounce when you open the face for better bunker play and promotes stability on all shots. It works best for players with neutral or  steep attack angles, FULL is available in 56° – 60° lofts. Need a grind that will allow you to execute the most demanding open-face shots from tight lies and firm conditions? The XLOW grind keeps the leading edge low so you can pull off some amazing wedge shots. It’s only available in 58° and 60° lofts.

The variety available in the RTX 4 wedges doesn’t end with the grind; you can also choose from three finishes. The Tour Satin finish is by far the most popular and produces less glare with a terrific look. The Black Satin finish provides the least amount of glare and Cleveland’s new PVD finish is ultra-durable. The Tour Raw finish is for the no-nonsense golfer. Tour Raw heads are baked to a whiskey brown color that rusts naturally the more you use it.

Huntington Beach SOFT 1 Putter

Other than a great look and a classic plumber’s neck design, Cleveland’s new Huntington Beach SOFT 1 putter has a lot going for it. First is the precision milled face. Each Huntington Beach SOFT putter features a diamond CNC milling pattern, which is designed to increase friction for a truer, more consistent roll. Secondly is Cleveland’s proprietary Speed Optimized Face Technology (SOFT. A unique milling pattern on each putter produces consistent speed and distance, even when you strikes are a little off-center. Lastly, the face is milled from soft 304 Stainless Steel which is 51% softer than 17-4 Stainless Steel.. Deep CNC face milling on each Huntington Beach SOFT putter provides exceptional feel for more confidence on the greens.

Try it for yourself and you’ll find that the Huntington Beach SOFT 1 putter has tremendous feel due to an optimized center of gravity and precision milled face. Cleveland has placed the center of mass behind the ball producing putts that feel solid and roll straight toward the target. Just a few putts and you’ll see how easy speed and distance control with a putter can be.

Srixon Z-STAR Golf Balls

The Srixon Z-STAR golf ball has been around for a while and is now in its sixth generation. The Z-STAR provides maximum greenside spin for unmatched stopping power and control; at the same time, it’s also longer than other mid-compression tour balls. Z-STAR’s premium three-piece construction gives skilled players complete tour performance, tee to green.

Z-STAR features the new FastLayer Core which is soft in the center and gradually becomes firmer around its edge. This provides players with faster swing speeds exceptional feel and tremendous ball speed for maximum distance. 4th Generation Spin Skin with SeRM is a new urethane coating with flexible molecular bonds that dig deep into wedge and iron grooves, maximizing spin for more control and more stopping power. Srixon’s 338 Speed Dimple Pattern boosts overall distance and flies straight, even in the toughest wind conditions.

The bottom line is that this ball is engineered for golfers who demand maximum spin. The new Srixon Z-STAR is available in Pure White and Tour Yellow.
