Each year, Skechers seems to expand their lineup of good looking, affordable golf apparel for men and women and this year is no exception. The Women’s Topped Shot Sleeveless Polo is made from Skechers 94% Polyester/6% Spandex fabric which features mesh inset stripes to increase airflow to help keep you cool on hot summer days. The fabric also has built-in moisture management to wick moisture and sweat away from the skin. Little details like flatlock seams reduce irritation, a self-collar and a concealed 6-button snap front closure provides a crisp, clean look. The Skechers Performance logo on the back of the neck and “S” clip label at the seam on the bottom help to identify the brand. The Topped Shot Sleeveless Polo is available in sizes XS-XL and in Black with purple and white stripes. Retail price is a scant $48.00.
This top pairs well with the Women’s Half Shot Chino Pants. These golf chinos have a comfortable, tailored fit and the 94% Polyester/6% Spandex fabric moves with you as you go through your golf swing. The soft poly blend Weft Stretch fabric also has a mélange effect that creates a textured feel, and the anti UV properties keep the sun’s harmful rays at bay. There’s also a built-in moisture management system that keeps your skin dry on the hottest days. The Gros grain waistband has an interior silicone gripper which helps to keep your shirt tucked in while you move around the course. The front side pockets are easy to get your hands in and out of and the self-gusset and bartacks help reinforce them. The back-welt pockets stretch to hold large scorecards and extra golf balls on those water holes. A Skechers Performance Clip logo on the back-right pocket tells others what brand your sporting. The Women’s Half Shot Chino Pant is available in sizes 2-16 and in Black. Retail price is $62.
For guys, I like the Links Stripe Polo. It’s extremely lightweight and the self-collar and three-button placket will have you looking like a pro, even if your game isn’t up to par. The 94% Polyester/6% Spandex Jersey fabric stretches and moves as you do and Skechers’ DNA Dry technology keeps you drier than other moisture wicking fabrics as it completely removes moisture from the skin and moves it to the outside of the garment for quick evaporation. Side vents have been added for increased breathability and the tri-colored chest stripe gives this polo some character. This polo is well branded; there’s a Skechers Performance heat transfer logo on left chest and a Skechers “S” clip label at bottom of side seam on the left. The Links Strip Polo is available in sizes S-XXL and in a White/Navy color combination. Retail price is $54.
Skechers Rocklin Golf Chino Pant for men has all the flex and stretch you’ll need and keeps you looking at the top of your game. The 94% Polyester/6% Spandex 4-way stretch fabric has added breathability and moisture management built-in to keep your bottom half dry and the silicone gripper waist band keeps everything where it should be. A self-fabric waistband with an interior elastic gives maximum stretch and the hidden coin pocket in the front pocket is a nice touch. The self-gusset and bartack design makes getting your hands in and out of the pockets an easy task. The back-welt pockets also provide ample storage. There’s also a Skechers ‘S’ clip tag on the pack pocket. The Rocklin Golf Chino Pant is available in waist sizes 30 – 42 and in 4 colors: Khaki, Dark Navy, Charcoal and Black. Retail price is $65.
Skechers has also introduced several new golf shoe styles for the upcoming season. Their new GO GOLF Elite 2 – LX men’s shoe is a spikeless version of the Go Golf Pro shoe, with full-grain leather upper and stitched accents as well as perforated accents for cooling. The padded tongue and collar provide supreme comfort and the padded heel cup creates added stability. There’s also Skechers’ H2GO Shield seam sealed water protection and their high performance 5GEN cushioned insole. The translucent spikeless TPU traction outsole will keep you firmly connected to the ground no matter how wet or dry it is. The GO GOLF Elite 2 – LX shoe is available in men’s sizes 7.5 – 14 and in several colors including Stone, Chocolate and Charcoal. Retail price is $120, which is very reasonable for a high quality spikeless shoe.
For the ladies, Skechers introduces the GO GOLF Birdie – Tropic. As the name implies, these shoes look like a lot of fun! The smooth, breathable mesh upper adds a colorful floral print, giving it an added pop of color. No matter what the activity, Skechers is all about comfort and the GO GOLF Birdie – Tropic shoe is no exception. This shoe’s design is based on Skechers GOwalk 4 comfort and the tapered midfoot design makes them extra comfortable for walking on those cart path only days. The spikeless turf traction TPU grip outsole with the Goga Matrix cushioned design will keep you firmly attached to mother earth. The GO GOLF Birdie – Tropic golf shoes are available in Black with a White floral design or in White or Navy with multi-color floral designs. Retail price is a paltry $80.
