Skechers – The Ultimate Golf Shoe For Walkers

walk-proTraditionally, golf shoes required some sort of break-in period. This wreaks havoc both on your feet and, often times, on your scorecard. Times have changed significantly; fabrics are less rigid and a lot more supple. Most new golf shoes can be worn comfortably right out of the box. The same is true of Skechers.

Skechers is a brand most people are familiar with outside the golf world. They make some of the most comfortable shoes on the market. Whether for business, casual or some sort of athletic endeavor, you can always count on your Skechers being comfortable. They have taken this thinking and applied it to golf shoes.

Skechers new women’s GoWalk 2 and the men’s Go Walk Pro golf shoes are the utmost in foot comfort. Perhaps that’s why Matt Kuchar and LPGA Golf Pro Belén Mozo wear them.

Women’s GoWalk 2 Golf Shoes
Skechers GoWalk 2 shoe has been transformed into a golf shoe. These shoes are built top to bottom specifically for golfers who enjoy walking the course and are perfect for golfers who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and fibro myalgia.

Skechers Women’s GoWalk 2 Lynx golf shoes derive their comfort from such proprietary features as Goga Mat Technology for high-rebound cushioning, V-Stride technology which features a uniquely angled outsole that complements a natural walking gait and promotes fluid stride transitions and stabilizing side overlay panels that provide lateral support. A 4-way, lightweight, stretch mesh on the front panel helps to keep the shoe lightweight (under 7 oz. per shoe), while independent circular GOimpulse sensors offer flexibility and feedback for a more responsive walking experience. A proprietary lightweight injection-molded compound Resalyte® Midsole with memory retention helps absorb impact while the integrated OrthoLite® anti-microbial sock liner helps inhibit odor and prevent slippage. With the GoWalk 2 golf shoes, women can do sockless and not worry about their feet slipping during the swing.

Skechersgolf1OK, enough shoe technology, let’s talk about how they look and perform. The women’s GoWalk 2 golf shoes have flatlock stitching for a nearly seamless upper with a flexible, lace-up design and a Quick-Fit Portal on the heel for easy on, easy off convenience. Durable turf cleat traction panels on the outsole provide unrivaled grip and control ensuring that you will stay connected to the ground in all types of weather conditions. Caring for them is easy to, simply throw them in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and then set them out to dry. Voila, good as new!

Skechers women’s GoWalk 2 Golf shoes are available in half sizes from 5 – 11 and in three colors: navy/hot pink, hot pink/orange, gray/blue and black/white. They retail on the Skechers website for $75.00

Men’s Skechers Go Golf Pro Golf Shoes
If you’ve happened to catch a glimpse of the golf footwear Matt Kuchar has been sporting recently, you may be surprised to find that the company behind it is Skechers, a company best known for producing comfortable footwear.

The new Go Golf Pro model of men’s footwear features a premium leather upper that is waterproof and smooth to the touch and overlay trim fashioned out of leather and synthetics. The stitched design and perforation detail on the uppers add a nice touch. The Go Golf Pro shoe also features a soft fabric shoe lining with a cushioned comfort insole, something you may have come to expect from Skechers. Resalyte® shock absorbing midsole coupled with an advanced stability sole that is fit with Softspikes® Pulsar® type replaceable turf cleat design ensure that you’ll lose your cool before you lose your grip in these shoes.

Skechers has gone out of its way to outfit Kuchar with their shoes. In 2014, they created a Payne Stewart tribute shoe for him that featured a silhouette of Stewart’s legendary fist pump at the 1999 U.S. Open at Pinehurst #2. The insoles also sported the silhouette. Next, Skechers followed that up with some red, white and blue shoes for the Ryder Cup. There is an American Flag under the translucent sole plate on the bottom of the shoes that really adds to the character of the shoe. Hats off to Skechers for both ideas! This shoes that they are making a statement and want to be taken seriously in the golf footwear business.

So far, I’ve played around 10 rounds in my pair of Go Golf Pro Shoes. Although we don’t typically walk the courses down here in Florida – especially in the summer, these shoes are extremely soft and comfortable. It would be easy to walk the course in these shoes. I don’t own two pairs of any one type of shoe, but these Skechers could easily change that!

The Go Pro Golf Shoe is available in sizes 7-14 depending on color and in several colors: Black, Brown, Black/Lime, Navy Gray, White/Navy and Grey/Orange.
