Swedge – A Simple Yet Highly Effective Training Aid

Here’s another golf training aid straight from the “Why Didn’t I Think of That Department.” It’s called the Swedge; a training aid designed to help golfers eliminate the dreaded “chicken wing” or “flying elbow.”

tranningAvid Golf’s CEO and inventor of the Swedge Dana Clark spent two years developing the product after a golf instructor stuck a towel under her arm to help her get rid of the dreaded chicken wing problem she had developed. Clark says she felt silly going to the range and sticking a headcover or towel under her arm and swinging the golf club; so she did something about it.

That leads us to the Swedge; a small, washable half-moon pillow covered with a durable nylon casing. It comes in three colors; black, red and blue and has a carabiner clip that attachs right to your golf bag. It can be custom-logoed, even in small quantities for golf outings, promotions, gifts or tournaments prizes and is 100% Made in America.

The Swedge Golf Training Aid is a simple and effective training aid that can help with many swing ailments. It can fix your hook, cure your slice, improve your accuracy, and increase your distance. The unique shape, weight, thickness, and materials make the Swedge specially designed for effective swing training. The Swedge will help you to keep your core body and arms together for a great swing.

The Swedge is not only for mid to high handicappers; touring pros are also plagued with this swing fault. As a matter of fact, Tiger Woods was seen on the practice range at the PGA Championship in Kiawah Island with a golf towel tucked under his right arm working on his swing. Someone needs to introduce Tiger to the Swedge. Sean Foley, are you listening?

When I took the Swedge out for a try, I found it very effective. The only problem I had was that, because of the DriFit shirt I was wearing, it had a tendency to slip out of place. With the cotton shirts I wear the majority of the time I had no problem

The Swedge retails for $29.99 and is available at all 87 Golfsmith locations nationwide and online at www.golfsmith.com and www.avidgolfusa.com.
