A Natural Way to Beat Those Aches and Pains

3091

Back in my drinking days, “being lubricated” and swing oil, meant the same thing: a couple of stiff belts before, during and/or after a round. These days, as science tends to take over golf, there is now a product called swingOIL; it’s a beverage that is best ingested before your round. Unlike most things said to be good for you, swingOIL tastes great and has been shown to support flexibility and joint health, and to be a healthy alternative to anti-inflammatory drugs. Does that mean no more popping Aleve as we make our way around the course? Read on…

There are several ingredients that combine to make swingOIL as effective as it claims to be:
Glucosamine and Chondroitin – two ingredients that help to lubricate the joints
Tumeric – fights inflammation
Taurine – an amino acid that supports neurological development and helps regulate the level of water and minerals in the blood. It’s also a low-cal, sugar-free pick-me-up
Citruline Malate – a nonessential amino acid that has been used in Europe to treat fatigue, muscle weakness and Dementia.
Ginseng Extract – another energy booster that has also been shown to reduce stress and promote relaxation
Rhodiola Rosea Extract – helps to increase athletic endurance
swingOIL is available in a pack of 12, a box of 24 or individually at many retailers. Each packet is 3 oz. and is available in three flavors – Lemon-Lime, Orange, and Strawberry Banana. There’s about 45 calories in each pouch. Retail price for a 24-pack is $59, while a 12-pack will set you back $29.50.

swingOIL fits nicely in just about any pocket of your golf bag or pocket. The directions suggest drinking it on the range, during your round or freezing it and taking it on the go. To open it, simply grab the pouch, rip the top off and start drinking. And, to top things off, Jason Day uses the product and provides a great endorsement.

Since the product is fairly new, there are no long term medical studies to back up the claims; you’ll just have to rely on the ramblings of people like myself that have tried the product. Something else of interest is the guys that founded the company use the product themselves and currently hold the record for the most holes played in a day– 253 holes!

swingOIL won’t fix your slice and may not cure any of the ailments you have, but it will help to not develop any new ones. I’m talking about stiffness and the usual aches and pains associated with the average golfer’s poor swing habits. After hitting a lot f golf balls on the range, I did manage did leave the ibuprofen in the medicine cabinet.

Let’s face it, the golf swing is very mechanical and what do you do to a piece of machinery to keep it in peak operating condition? Oil it regularly! For more information or to order some swingOIL, visit the website at www.swingoil.com.
