While women represent a record-high 28% of all on-course golfers across America, they receive a much lower percentage of the attention they deserve.
Don’t fret, however, because there’s a movement of change in high gear.
To wit, the premium, ladies’ golf-resort apparel brand LOHLA SPORT continues to go the distance promoting the best in competition and camaraderie among women who love all the great game of golf represents.
The recent 2026 LOHLA SPORT Tournament of Club Champions at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif., featured 36 lady club champions from coast to coast battling it out with both smiles and determination.
Hosted LOHLA SPORT that counts Annika Sorenstam as a global brand ambassador, the fourth annual, one-day, hotly contested, stroke-play tournament came down to a two-shot victory by Corey Weworski of La Costa Resort & Spa (Carlsbad, Calif.). She recorded a stout 75 after finishing second in a three-way playoff in the 2025 edition.
Kristen Mulenburg of Contra Costa County Club (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) was runner-up and Adrienne Cipparone of Pauma Valley Country Club (Pauma Valley, Calif.) took third place in a chip-off. It was the first time all top three finishers represented the Golden State, and they are exempt to complete in next year’s Tournament of Club Champions.
“Scores matter yet they’re superseded by the way this fine group of ladies conduct themselves,” said Weworski. “They’re standard bearers of confidence and inspirations in everything they do, and looking fabulous in LOHLA SPORT outfits is icing on the cake.”
Weworski is no stranger to competition. She played in more than 40 USGA events, including making the cut in three of four U.S. Senior Women’s Open championships (2022 to 2025) and winning the 2004 U.S. Mid-Amateur. Throw in two California Women’s Senior Championship victories, and for good reason she was a top pick to contend for the 2026 LOHLA SPORT Tournament of Club Champions trophy.
“The tournament is a reward for the dedication our competitors put into their golf games as well as their personal and professional lives off the course,” said Lisa O’Hurley, Founder and CEO of LOHLA SPORT. “We create friendships, memories and so much more, and that’s what this great sport is all about.”
Duca Del Cosma, Kendra Scott, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Rubicon Financial Advisors, Safe Harbor Pension & Wealth, Sherwood Country Club and XXIO Golf were participating partners.
The tournament expresses appreciation for the nearly 450 fine golf shops experiencing outstanding sales of LOHLA SPORT tops, bottoms, skorts, outerwear and accessories which seamlessly transition from the course to the office and social settings.
All LOHLA SPORT styles are rooted in fun, colorful, classy, flattering and on-trend European designs with Los Angeles flair. Available in XXS to XXL, they are made of fine-quality fabrics sourced worldwide and optimize athletic movements.
Keenly known for its core bottoms, LOHLA SPORT continues to amass a strong “Golfleisure” following akin to Lululemon’s “Athleisure” craze. Top sellers include:
- The “Very Pant” – The four-pocket, full, four-way, luxe fabric, ankle-length stretch pant comes in many colors, including a nucleus of navy, black, white, red and seasonal favorites.
- The Golf Fitness Pull-On Pant – Purposely thicker, it is the ideal golf-yoga pant with back pockets making it country club appropriate.
By the way, in addition to Annika’s ambassadorship and other celebrities ardently supporting LOHLA SPORT, count in John O’Hurley. Company Founder Lisa O’Hurley’s husband starred as the fictional character J. Peterman in “Seinfeld” and too many other TV, Broadway and other shows to list here.
