Volvik USA, Inc. (Volvik.com) has named Young S. Shin president, as of March 3, 2022, following the death of his son, Don Shin, who had served as president and CEO since the company’s inception, in 2012.

Volvik USA, a rapidly-growing, premium high-performance golf ball company, welcomes Young S. Shin. He is committed to continuing his son’s vision of bringing high-performance Volvik products to the marketplace.

Don Shin began his journey with Volvik USA as the North American distributor, basing operations in Orlando, Fla. He was dedicated to introducing color and fun into the golf ball category. Little did he know that a few years later, he would be involved in one of the most consequential product introductions in the golf ball category in recent memory, with the launch of the Volvik VIVID, the first-ever matte finish golf ball.

Over the intervening years, Don Shin, along with a group of hardworking, enthusiastic industry veterans including Jon Claffey, Jack Dillon, Rino Kim and many more, went on a ride of enviable success that witnessed every major ball brand adding a matte finish product to its product line assortment. Don Shin’s dreams for Volvik USA became a reality.

Young S. Shin looks forward to carrying on his son’s legacy and vision as Volvik USA continues to build for the future.
