Named Sponsor of Barstool Classic


MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. –, the ultimate resource for planning and booking a Myrtle Beach golf vacation, has been named a sponsor of the Barstool Classic, part of a larger marketing program that will partner America’s most popular golf destination with one of the nation’s leading sports media brands.

The Barstool Classic, a series of 25 events played throughout the nation, will begin its 2022 schedule at the Grande Dunes Resort Course on March 21 in Myrtle Beach. The Barstool Classic will be the first of many opportunities Barstool’s legion of avid golfers will have to interact with the Grand Strand golf community.

As part of a program that will run through November 2022, Golf Tourism Solutions, the agency responsible for promoting Myrtle Beach as a golf destination and the proprietor of, has ensured the Grand Strand will be exposed to the Barstool audience in a variety of ways. The partnership will include live spots on Fore Play, Barstool’s ever-popular golf podcast, and a presence on the brand’s social media channels, in addition to sponsoring video content throughout the year.

One of the highlights of the agreement will be the Fore Play Travel Series coming to Myrtle Beach, allowing Barstool’s team – Trent, Riggs, Frankie and Lurch – to enjoy the great times of a Myrtle Beach golf trip on and off the course.

The Barstool golf franchise has enjoyed a meteoric rise in popularity on the strength of the Fore Play podcast, an engaging, irreverent look at the game through the eyes of regular golfers. Many of golf’s biggest names have appeared on Fore Play, reaching a younger, yet no less passionate, audience.
