Destination Kohler Turns to Noteefy

There are only a handful of golf companies I regularly track.  The simple qualifications: (1) solve a nagging problem; and (2) elicit “why didn’t I think of that?”

One company I understood and appreciate from the get-go is Noteefy.

The OpenTable and Resy product for golf, it’s, rudimentarily, an automated tee-time waitlist notification system.

Problem No. 1

Golfers are frustrated when their desired tee times are taken, and they’re relegated to search online and call pro shops to see if the slots open due to cancelation.  It’s easier to play elsewhere.

Solution No. 1

Golfers simply sign up for Noteefy on the favorite courses’ websites to receive real-time text and e-mail alerts when their desired tee times open.  They then book via the normal process.

Problem No. 2

Golf courses don’t properly inform golfers their desired tees times are open due to cancellations, most arising last minute.  They lose up to $100,000 annually because the re-booking process is choppy if not absent.

Solution No. 2

Golf courses utilize Noteefy automation software to keep golfers happy and guard against tee time inventory perishing.  The Noteefy booking assistant is customized to courses’ branding and seamlessly integrates directly on top of the POS tee sheet.

Voila, we have a winner for golfers and course operators alike.

The latest to adopt Noteefy is Destination Kohler Resort for its four award-winning courses about one hour north of Milwaukee, Wisc.

Destination Kohler hosted the 1998 and 2012 U.S. Women’s Open at Blackwolf Run, along with the 2004, 2010 and 2015 PGA Championships at Whistling Straits.  The Straits Course was the site of the Ryder Cup in 2021, the first public venue to host the biennial matches since 1991.

Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run General Manager Mike O’Reilly is excited about the impact Noteefy will have on its guest experiences and, in turn, portfolio revenue.

Noteefy Founder and CEO Jake Gordon is equally pumped to make it easier and more accessible for golfers to reserve their desired times at the special properties.

Voila, we have no-brainer alignment.

Not even one year on the market, Noteefy is already considered the most thoughtful and talked-about product introductions this decade.

In addition to Destination Kohler, handfuls of prize resort courses are leveraging Noteefy. KemperSports, Landscapes Golf Management, PGA TOUR’s TPC Network, Bobby Jones Links, CourseCo, Touchstone Golf and other multi-course operators are realizing six-figure revenue gains at their daily-fee and resort courses.  Individual courses are experiencing the same.

Did you know that research shows a staggering 20% of online tee times are cancelled and go unfilled?

That problem is going down as use of Noteefy goes up.
